About Public Operator Listings
Last Updated: April 21, 2026
1. What We List
When a transportation operator appears on LetzCharter as an unclaimed listing, we typically include:
- Business name
- City and state of operation
- General service area
- Publicly listed contact information (phone, website, email)
- USDOT number, if applicable
- Vehicle types the operator is known to run, when publicly documented
We don’t publish anything that isn’t already public.
2. Where the Information Comes From
Every unclaimed listing is built from public sources:
- FMCSA — the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s public carrier registry
- Google Places — public business profiles
- Public industry directories — trade association listings, tourism boards, and similar
- State and local licensing records — where available
We don’t scrape private databases or purchase personal information.
3. Why We List Unclaimed Operators
LetzCharter is a marketplace for group transportation. For customers to find the right operator, the marketplace needs to reflect the real supply of operators — not only the ones who have signed up yet.
Listing real operators with public information helps customers discover transportation options in their area. It also gives operators a head start: when you’re ready to join LetzCharter, your listing is already in place — you just claim it.
This is the same approach used by Yelp, Google Maps, and similar platforms.
4. How to Claim Your Listing
If you run a listed business, you can claim it for free. Claiming gives you:
- Full control over your profile (description, photos, fleet, service areas)
- The ability to receive quote requests and take bookings through LetzCharter
- Access to the operator dashboard
- Removal of the “unclaimed” indicator on your profile
There is no charge to claim or maintain a listing. Claim your listing →
5. How to Request Changes or Opt Out
If something in your listing is wrong, or if you’d prefer not to be listed at all, you have two options:
- Fix it yourself. Claim the listing (free) and edit any field directly.
- Request removal or correction. Submit an opt-out request.
Our opt-out commitment:
- You verify your email with a one-click link.
- As soon as you verify, we hide the listing immediately while our team reviews.
- We resolve the request — full removal, correction, or confirmation — within 5 business days.
- We email you when it’s done.
We confirm that you’re authorized to speak for the business (via the email verification) before we make any changes. This protects business owners from bad-faith removal requests.
6. Our Fair-Search Commitment
We don’t sell placement. Claimed operators do not rank higher than unclaimed operators in search. Paid promotion is not part of the LetzCharter marketplace model.
For the full commitment, see how search ranking works.
